2024 EMERGING ISSUES

Navigating Freedom of Expression and Academic Freedom in BC’s Public Post-Secondary Sector

THE TOPIC

Controversial issues, polarizing discourse, and global (and local) conflicts are not going away. Public post-secondary institutions must balance their critical roles of ensuring safe, inclusive learning and working environments, promoting students’ learning and development, and protecting freedom of inquiry and thought.

Lindsie Thomson and Rod Sieg from Harris & Co. will break down the complex legal framework that post-secondary institutions must navigate through to find this balance and answer your questions on how to work through these emerging and important issues.

Please join us for a lunch-hour webinar and Q&A.
